This notice is to inform you of a unscheduled outage, may cause some disruption to your service with Conetix.
Scope of Issue
Conetix is aware of DNS resolution issues affecting all services and currently have engineers working to resolve the issue. The fault has been identified and a fix put in place to correct.
The fault has been identified with the ISC DNSSEC Lookaside Validation (DLV) server, which had failed to renew the certificates to validate the DNS records. This had a cascading effect on all further DNS lookups for all Top Level Domains (TLD's) such as .com, .org, .net and similar.
This fault affected hundreds of thousands of systems world-wide and not limited to nor related to any Conetix platform.

- External DNS lookups to other domains, which may have impacted external backups and sycronisation services
