Email flow disruption - mail.ingenuity.net.au

This notice is to inform you of a unscheduled outage, which will cause some disruption to your service with Ingenuity.

Scope of Issue

Emails in and out of mail.ingenuity.net.au currently have a delay. The Conetix team are working on the issue at present and hope to have it resolved shortly.

  • 08:30 - 12/11/18 - Issue reported and being investigated
  • 09:12 - 12/11/18 - Issue Identified and fix currently being implemented. ETA for full restoration of service is 30 minutes
  • 09:45 - 12/11/18 - Correction to the mailserver to restore the flow of mail is still ongoing, emails should already be starting to flow through as expected.
  • 10:30 - 12/11/18 - Mail is flowing through and the delay has been significantly decreased. There may be some ongoing issues with delivery to external services, Conetix is currently rectifying this as well.

Degraded Mail / Websites

Issues have been identified post-migration with a number of shared hosting systems. These issues are affecting the flow of some mail as well as some websites. Conetix is working on the issue and will have it resolved soon. At this stage there's no ETA but please monitor this page for updates.

Update 07:30 (AEST): Conetix is continuing to work on the fault. No ETA at this stage.

Update 08:30 (AEST): Issue has been identified and we're determining a best method of patching to correct. ETA for the fix is less than 1 hour.

Update 09:30 (AEST): A fix is currently being deployed our platform to correct. All websites and email should begin to work as normal very shortly.

Update 10:40 (AEST): Issue has been fully resolved across all systems. If you still have a fault at this point and haven't already done so, please log it with the Conetix team on 1300 789 260 or via [email protected]

Scheduled Maintenance: Ingenuity Hardware Migration

This notice is to inform you of a scheduled maintenance event, which may cause some disruption to your service with Conetix and Ingenuity.

Scope of Works

In order to take advantage of the advanced infrastructure at Conetix, all existing Ingenuity hardware will be transferred to the Conetix Data Centre (DC). This will provide an immediate security boost, via the dedicated, hardware based firewalls Conetix runs. As this move involves shutting down and physically moving the equipment, there will be an extended outage as this occurs. The move is expected to take up to two (2) hours for most services before they will be back online.

Conetix has formulated a detailed migration and test plan to ensure any downtime is minimised as much as possible and will also have technicians on-hand in the office to conduct external testing as well as answering support queries.

23.11 (AEST) Technical Team have arrived at Conetix Data Centre (DC) with Ingenuity Hardware

24.00 (AEST) Technical Team have tested Ingenuity Hardware and have commenced racking into Conetix Racks

23.48 (AEST) Ingenuity Servers are racked and coming online.

1:08 (AEST) All Ingenuity Servers are up and operational. Currently there is an upstream provider routing issue. Some servers are accessible now.

1:53 (AEST) Still current issue with upstream provider. Issue Escalate to senior SysAdmin

  • 90% of network visible.

2.25 (AEST) Upstream provider resolved routing issue at 2.14 (AEST). Check of system via external Conetix Staff 95% of services up and online.

2.30 (AEST) ALL OK 100% Service
